Walnutport borough council
Walnutport Borough Council recently took the following action:
• Approved the 2020 MMO requirements for the police ($99,421), and nonuniformed ($13,220) pension plans.
• Agreed to spend $1,569 for two poles to be placed at the Veterans Memorial at the small park between Washington Street and Fifth Street.
• Approved a $1,000 transfer to the Walnutport Recreation Board.
• Agreed to sever the borough’s relationship with its labor attorney, Scott Blissman, of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC.
• Agreed to hire Joe Rudolph as the borough’s new labor attorney.
• Adopted a resolution to apply for a grant for a street sweeper vacuum.
• Adopted a promulgation and resolution for the adoption of the emergency operations plan.
• Approved a purchasing agreement that pertains to any purchases made by the borough.
• Approved Rhonda Frantz, Northern Lehigh School District, as the Tax Collecting Committee representative, pending approval from Northern Lehigh School District.
• Approved the Candy Cane Hunt application for use of facility at 10 a.m. Dec. 14.
