Wanted woman caught by police

A woman wanted on active warrants out of several counties, including Carbon, was apprehended by Summit Hill police on March 20.

Police received information that Carly Jo Fairchild, 26, no address, was hiding out in a residence in the borough. Police made contact with the homeowner who permitted the officers to enter the home. He directed the officers to a third-floor bedroom where police found Fairchild attempting to climb out a window onto the roof. She was taken into custody.

Found near Fairchild were numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia in plain view. Seized were three syringes, one of which was “loaded” with suspected heroin; two small plastic baggies containing suspected crystal methamphetamine, a digital scale, and a large plastic bag containing 113 plastic baggies commonly used to store heroin. The baggies were stamped “diesel” or “007.” Fairchild openly admitted the items were hers and added she was just about to “shoot up,” police said.

Fairchild was transported to the county prison in Nesquehoning where she was placed on the outstanding warrants.

Police said a preliminary field test of a random sample of the suspected meth, did produce a positive result. The meth weighed .7 grams.

Police charged Fairchild with possession of heroin and methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
