A warrant has been issued for a Northampton County man wanted for state parole violations.

Lehigh Township Police said that at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, police were conducting speed enforcement on S. Cottonwood Road.

During the enforcement, a dark gray Dodge Ram 2500 regular cab pickup passed through at an excessive speed.

Police attempted to stop the truck as it traveled eastbound on Route 248, but the driver of the Dodge Ram refused to stop for over a mile.

The Dodge finally pulled to the side of the road, on Route 248, east of Allen Street.

Once police were next to the truck speaking with the driver, the driver sped off continuing eastbound.

Police again attempted to stop the truck that exited the roadway and traveled north through the farm fields near Dannersville Road.

Police identified the driver as William Lavenburg, 44, of Danielsville, a wanted person for state parole violations.

A warrant for Lavenburg has been obtained by Lehigh Township for fleeing and eluding police, recklessly endangering and other traffic related offenses.

Lavenburg is described as having violent tendencies.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.
