Weatherly adopts no-kneeling policy
Weatherly has adopted a new policy was voted into the athletic handbook regarding kneeling for the national anthem during district games.
The hot-button issue has gained a lot of attention over the past few months reaching from national televised professional games all the way down to small school districts, prompting the board to vote on a new policy.
“There will be zero tolerance for any student, staff or coach for kneeling during the national anthem. Anyone caught will be dismissed for the season,” said board member Brian O’Donnell.
