Weatherly library news
The Weatherly Area Community Library will host a visit from author Lauren Stahl during the Sept. 27 monthly book discussion.
Stahl is the author of the dark crime drama “The Devil’s Song.” The discussion will begin at 7 p.m.
Refreshments will be served. Register by visiting the library or by calling 570-427-5085.
The library is also hosting an amateur photographer contest beginning Sept. 17. The contest will be divided into two age groups: youth to 15; and 15 and up. Categories will be: Weatherly, Nature; and Water.
Photos must be 5x7 or 8x10 and be mounted or framed. A release form will be required as the photos will then be used at a silent auction fundraiser for the library.
Winners will be announced on Oct. 6, with the People’s Choice Award announced at 11:25 a.m. The silent auction will end at 11:30 a.m.
