Weisenberg man is victim of identity theft

State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating an identity theft incident case.

A 32-year-old Weisenberg Township resident reported the incident took place between noon Jan. 31 and 5:19 p.m. Feb. 8 in the 200 block of Bleiler Hill Road, New Tripoli.

Police said two cellphone accounts were opened in the name of the victim. Three cellphones were purchased in his name.

A third attempt to open an account in the victim’s name was denied, police said.
