WEISSPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL

Weissport Borough Council took the following action on Monday:

• Agreed to allow the Lehighton Soccer Club to use the baseball field on White Street for youth soccer beginning in the fall. The use is contingent on the club providing insurance information to the borough.

• Agreed to change the police department door locks and replace the answering machine in the borough office.

• Council President Arland Moyer Sr. said a 6-foot fence with barbed wire is being constructed around the electrical panel box at the playground. The box has been the target of vandalism several times in the past few months.
