Weissport council

Weissport council addressed the following issues at Tuesday night’s council meeting:

• Weissport borough is set to meet stormwater compliance for the next five years.

• There are no boundary changes to report on the boundary survey.

• Weissport borough will inquire to the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs about potentially building a borough website. Future benefits and cost need to be confirmed before any official action is taken.

• Ordinance 3-2007 which ensures renter safety in a habitable environment has been properly outlined in letters sent to landlords in the borough. This proper distribution of information has built enough backing to be enforced fully. Failure to comply could result in fines no less than $100. Final details and plans of enforcement will be put into another letter to landowners and discussed in the future.
