Weissport council

The following items were discussed during the regular meeting of Weissport Borough Council on Monday:

• Council voted unanimously to remove no dog, no bicycle, and no playing signs from the borough park. The signs were placed several years ago without an ordinance allowing enforcement actions.

• Discussed planting flowers in the park but tabled any action until a future meeting.

• Councilman Greg May told council that the current garbage hauler, County Waste, has not produced any quarterly usage reports as required under the current contract.

• Announced garbage bill collections to date are $35,401.73 and taxes received to date are $45,705.26.
