Weissport Council

Weissport Borough Council discussed the following this week:

• Tabled action on purchasing a self-propelled lawn mower for use on the levee. Council President Arland Moyer Sr. made the request in the amount of $278.07. The mower will be listed on the agenda for the next meeting after the current budget can be examined.

• Obtained a quote for $10,793 to install security cameras in the borough park, playground and borough garage/offices. Council is still seeking quotes and will discuss at a later date. No action was taken.

• Police officer Matthew Williams responded to 21 calls during the May-June period. He also issued three traffic citations and made seven arrests.
