Weissport has ordered security cameras for playground

Security cameras have been ordered for the Weissport playground. Four cameras will be installed on the playground soon, in response to recent vandalism.

The Weissport borough building will also be seeing some new updates. New doors will be installed on Friday, and a new roof will be installed at the end of the month.

In other news, borough Vice President Brenda Leiby commended the Weissport police department on their work during trick-or-treat night, stating, “They were out all night. It was great!”

The Weissport Borough Council announces that the annual Santa in the Park will be held on Nov. 30, beginning at 6 p.m. The festival will feature Christmas carols, gift card drawings, and a tree lighting ceremony. All are welcome.

Director Greg May and Mayor Paulette Watson were not in attendance at Monday’s meeting.
