West End Fire Company warns of illegitimate fundraising efforts

The Chestnuthill emergency alert system posted a warning on Thursday afternoon cautioning residents about possible illegitimate fundraising efforts.

“The West End Fire Company would like to inform you that their fundraising letter is sent via direct mail which will be addressed from Brodheadsville, PA 18322. Any correspondence received through the mail from a location other than Brodheadsville, PA 18322, email, or phone call is not legitimate,” the notice read.

The notice also requested anyone who is contacted by one of these methods to contact the fire company at 570-992-4121.

Residents of Chestnuthill can sign up to receive text alerts by visiting the township website and clicking the Emergency Services tab and then follow the directions.
