Golden anniversary
Our Lady Queen of Peace Church has begun its 50th anniversary celebration of the founding of the parish on Sept. 10, 1968.
Men’s group meets
The Queen of Peace Church’s Men’s Group will meet at 7 tonight. All men over 18 are welcome.
Eldred supers
The Eldred Township Supervisors will meet at 7:30 tonight at the township building in Kunkletown.
The township has a Friday deadline for submitting a letter of interest for positions on various township commissions and committees. Vacancies may exist on the zoning hearing board, planning commission, community center committee, and parks and recreation committee. Appointments will be made at the organization meeting in January.
The letter should state area of interest, the reasons for the interest, any relevant qualifications, and the person’s contact information.
Drop the letter off at the township office during regular business hours or send it to Ann Velopolcek by email at a.velopolcek@eldredtwp.org, or by regular mail at Eldred Township, P.O. Box 600, Kunkletown, PA 18058.
Holiday shop
The Pleasant Valley Intermediate PTO holiday shop will run through Friday. The Pleasant Valley Elementary PTO holiday shop will continue Monday and Tuesday, with a snow day of Dec. 13.
All Sports Club
The Pleasant Valley School District All Sports group will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school library in Brodheadsville.
School Board
The Pleasant Valley School District Board of Education will meet at 8 p.m. Thursday in the district office.
