Free dinner
Zion Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville is again sponsoring a free community supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today.

Mission meal
The West End Mission Meal, hosted by Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, on Thursday between 4:40 and 5:45 p.m. will be a takeout affair.
Lions meet
The Western Pocono Lions Club will have a board meeting at 6 p.m. and a dinner meeting to follow at Cherry’s on Route 209 in Kresgeville Thursday.
The new club officers will be installed by Lions Region Chair Lisa Leon.
The Lion of the Year recognition will be presented at this dinner meeting as well. Reservations are required, but said reservations have been closed as of last week.
Meeting canceled
The meeting of the Eldred Township Planning Commission scheduled for Thursday is canceled. The next meeting of the planning commission will be held at 7 p.m. July 19 at the municipal building in Kunkletown.
Bookworms meet
Western Pocono Community Library’s adult book discussion group, Bookworms, meets at the library every third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m.

An open West End Little League meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Chestnuthill Township Park in Brodheadsville.
