Vendors wanted
The West End Park & Open Space Commission is having a craft/gift fair at the Chestnuthill Park in Brodheadsville on Nov. 16.
Vendors for crafts, gifts, art, direct sellers and door prizes are sought.

UMW meets
The United Methodist Women of Effort UMC will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. Devotions will be done by Laurie Everett. She and Joyce Aylsworth are serving as hostesses. The program will be the election of officers, the 2020 budget and the 2020 Local Programs for the group’s book.
New members are welcome.
Ladies Night will be celebrated on Dec. 9.
All Sports Club
The Pleasant Valley All Sports Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the high school library.
Touch of Home
The monthly meeting of Operation: Touch of Home will be held at the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Homemade filling
St. Matthew’s UCC, Kunkletown, is taking orders for homemade filling for Thanksgiving. The order deadline is Nov. 15. The filling pickup is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 22.

Monroe Garden Club
The Monroe County Garden Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 13, at the Kettle Creek Environmental Center, 8050 Running Valley Road, Stroudsburg.
The guest speaker will be Pamela Hubbard from Effort, who will present a program on garden journaling.
The Horticulture Theme will be Pocono Bare, display a tree or shrub branch, 12 to 30 inches in height.
One specimen for each clear glass container.
The Design Theme is Turkeys on Parade, designer’s choice of theme interpretation. Accessories permitted.
A light luncheon will be served, with a small cost for nonmembers. Everyone interested in gardening is invited to attend.

Birding ID series
Monroe County Conservation District’s Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center and Pocono Avian Research Center are holding a Learn the Birds: Birding Identification Series, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 13.
There is a cost, though center members are free.
