West Penn’s comprehensive plan discussed

Published March 21. 2019 12:48PM

West Penn Township’s comprehensive plan remains a work in progress.

Resident Ted Rosen asked supervisors Monday morning for an update on the township’s comprehensive plan and zoning activity.

Board Chairman Tony Prudenti told Rosen that Lehigh Engineering LLC is updating the township’s comprehensive plan.

“The comprehensive plan came in and was awarded to Lehigh (Engineering),” Prudenti said. “Hopefully by the end of the year all of this is put to bed.”

Earlier this month, supervisors agreed to have Lehigh Engineering LLC revise the plan at a cost of $12,600.

The township’s last comprehensive plan was done in 2015.

Supervisors want to have it revised because the township is amending its zoning ordinance.

Urban Research and Development is updating the township’s zoning ordinance.
