WEST PENN TOWNSHIP

West Penn Township supervisors took the following action on Monday:

• On a 2-0 vote, with an abstention from Supervisor Tim Houser, adopted a resolution to transfer the last of the annuity contracts of former employees. This would be transferring ownership of the John Hancock Annuity Contract directly to Houser, which is the beneficiary that dates back to when Houser was employed by the township.

• Announced that township engineer Lehigh Engineering LLC, is getting a cost estimate for Water Wheel Bridge. Lehigh Engineering is looking into a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Intermodal Grant that would help defer costs, for which they started the grant application process.

• Noted that the Andreas Halloween Parade is at 7 p.m. Oct. 16.

• Noted that the township’s trick-or-treat night is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 26.

• Noted that the board’s regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 will be held at the Annex.

• Noted they received an invite to the Zoning Hearing Update Committee meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 will be held at the Annex.
