West Penn Township
West Penn Township Supervisors also took the following action on Monday:
• Agreed to purchase a new backhoe from AG-Industrial in the amount of $63,850.
• Agreed to have Peters Painting paint the two ends of the township municipal building, and eventually the back side of the building, at a cost of $9,325.
• On a 2-1 vote, with Supervisor Ted Bogosh opposed, agreed to purchase pipe from Chemung Supply Corporation for the dirt and gravel roads in the amount of $7,491.
• Agreed to have Patriot Seamless Gutters perform gutter repair to the front and back of the township municipal building at a cost of $800.
• Per the concerns expressed by Bogosh, agreed to have board solicitor Paul J. Datte compose a letter to the state Department of Transportation making them aware of the increase of truck traffic with the detour and trucks making turns to get onto Route 443 swinging into the lane while they clear the turn.
• Approved a resolution to grant final conditional approval of the Lusch Major Subdivision and Annexation Plan, as well as a resolution to grant final conditional approval of the Lusch Lot No. 1 Land Development Plan, as long as conditions for both are met.
• Agreed to sell the following equipment on Municibid: A 1994 International six-Wheel Dump Truck 4900 Series DT466 with a 11-foot Gledhill Power Angle Plow; Chain Driven Salt Box Root 12-foot Plow, Hauck Tar Buggy with two propane Tanks and Tar Kettle, and 15 Lithonia Lights with Metal Diffusers 400 watt, 120 volt.
