Woman charged with heroin possession
An Albrightsville woman has been charged after a vehicle stop yielded a large amount of heroin.
According to the affidavit filed by trooper Tyler O’Shura of Fern Ridge State Police:
At 8:20 p.m. Sept. 11, O’Shura was on patrol along Route 903 when he observed a VW Passat pass at 52 mph in a posted 45 mph zone, so he conducted a traffic stop.
Stacy Kilpatrick, 32, the rear-seat passenger, had an empty white glassine bag containing suspected heroin residue and a hypodermic needle in her purse.
Kilpatrick was taken into custody. She told police she had heroin stuffed into her pants. A total of 114 white/clear glassine bags were located on Kilpatrick.
Kilpatrick faces charges of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; intentional possession of controlled substance by person not registered; and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
She is free on bail, and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Oct. 16 before District Judge Eric M. Schrantz of Jim Thorpe.
