Woman charged with shoplifting

A Schuylkill County woman has been charged with stealing over $278 worth of merchandise from a county department store.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Tami Maurer, 34, of Barnesville, entered Boscov’s Department Store in the Fairlane Village Mall, Norwegian Township, on May 31 around 1:30 p.m. and removed numerous items without paying for them. The items included mostly sportswear and other clothing with an estimated value of $278.68.

She was charged with retail theft.
