Woman dies after being struck by vehicle in Lehigh County
A 70-year-old Lower Macungie Township woman died of injuries she sustained after she was struck by a vehicle at 5:55 p.m. Saturday on Lower Macungie Road in that township.
State police at the Fogelsville barracks said Dzefka Islamova of Lower Macungie Township died at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Police said she was crossing Lower Macungie Road at a spot where no crosswalk was present.
She was wearing dark clothing when she was struck by a passing motorist.
