Woman facing drug charges
A woman is facing drug charges following an incident that occurred in Summit Hill.
Borough police said at 3 p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the area of 46 W. Ridge St. for a report of a dog running loose. On scene, officers made contact with Nichole Nikisher, 39, no address listed, who was standing on the front porch of 46 W. Ridge St. She told officers that she “lives there.”
The officers had prior knowledge that no one was supposed to be living at the residence due to it being abandoned and condemned. Police contacted the property owner, who advised them no one was supposed to be on the property and asked that Nikisher be removed.
Nikisher said she wanted to get her personal items from inside the residence. Nikisher went to a bedroom in the home where police saw a broken pen case with a white residue of crystal-like substance, a clear baggie with a crystal-like substance inside and an open Altoids container with three cut straws with white powdery residue inside. The defendant said the bedroom was hers.
She admitted a glass pipe she used to smoke marijuana was in the purse. A clear baggie containing a trace amount of a crystal-like substance was found.
Nikisher was taken into custody and\was charged with one count each of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
