A Carbon County woman was sentenced to a county prison term on Monday after pleading guilty to a drug dealing charge and a weapons count.

Jodi Lynn Green, 34, of Summit Hill, told Judge Joseph J. Matika, she has started her “journey to recovery” from a drug addiction and can’t wait to get her life back.

Green pleaded to one count each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a prohibited offensive weapon.

She was arrested on March 22, 2018, when Lansford police served a search warrant on a home along East Abbott Street. Numerous drug items, including crystal methamphetamine, were found in the home, according to the police report.

Green told Matika she went into an inpatient drug and rehabilitation program and continues an intensive outpatient program. She said, “On Oct. 11, 2018, I began my journey to recovery.” She spent over six months in an inpatient program and told Matika she was “nine months clean” from drug use.

Matika commended her for her efforts. “I believe you have your priorities straight for a better life with your daughter.”

Matika sentenced her to serve one day less 12 months to one day less 24 months in prison on the drug charge with credit for 186 days spent in rehab and prison. On the weapons count she was sentenced to serve six to 24 months less a day with the term concurrent with the drug charge.

She was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, supply a DNA sample, render 50 hours of community service when paroled, pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole.

She will begin to serve the remainder of her prison term at 9 a.m. on July 22.
