Woman hits tree, goes down embankment
A woman was seriously injured Thursday evening in a crash along Route 309 in Kline Township, Schuylkill County. The crash occurred about 6 p.m. as she was traveling south at the intersection with Lofty Road. Her SUV swerved to the right crossing Lofty Road, leaping a set of guiderails then striking a tree as she was airborne. The SUV came to rest about 100 feet down a steep embankment.
