Write in Tom Gerhard for commissioner

Published October 24. 2019 12:49PM

Dear Editor,

I would like to show my support and encourage Carbon County voters to go to the polls on Nov. 5 and do a write-in for Tom Gerhard to be re-elected as our Carbon County Commissioner. Tom has been a commissioner for the past eight years and knows the ins and outs of a county that he loves.

Tom is running on a platform of continued commitment, leadership, dependability and integrity. Tom is an extremely approachable man who goes beyond the call of duty to help someone in need.

Tom supports the many organizations and charities that are in our county and attends as many of these functions as he possibly can. I believe that Tom strives to only do the best for our county and takes to heart all that he can and cannot do or help.

My husband and I have known Tom Gerhard for many years and have always felt quite honored to call him a friend. Please show your support of someone who only has the good of our county at heart and do a write-in for a man who deserves your vote. VOTE write-in Tom Gerhard on Nov. 5, 2019.

Good for you Nan! Lukasevich is an ignorant, militarist with loose grasp on reality. He brags that he is trained to kill! Sorry, not the kind of qualifications needed!
Lukasevich is a disgrace to the military and all veterans. He uses the uniform for political gain. Keep sanity in Carbon County, write in Tom Gerhard!
When has Mr. Lukasevich ever stated that he “is trained to kill”, let alone bragged about it? Again I will remind you that you don’t speak for all veterans, Chris is not a disgrace to my husband and I - retired veterans who have 47 years of active duty service between us. COL (Retired) Chris Lukasevich is the epitome of a soldier who served on active duty both in the enlisted ranks and the officer ranks. It is because of fine men like him that allow you (and others like you) to denigrate him. I would really like to know where you get your information from to say he is “an ignorant, militarist with loose grasp on reality”. Anyone can spout words and hide behind a pseudo name, but that’s what cowards do. It takes someone with courage, passion and a belief in doing right and good to stand alone, speak out and ignore bullies like you. I still can’t believe that the TNOnline allows this trash on their page.
Hey watch what you say... The Comrade was a recruiter. She has deep ties to the girl scouts, and if you offend her, she'll have you restricted from posting here at the TN. I think the assessment as to what cowards do... Well, you nailed it.
Thanks to you and your husband for your service.
Or... Comrade is an up and coming Don Rickles... not sure.

Too bad you were a draft dodger. Had you served your country, you might have learned a few things.
I don't brag about my service, crazymama. But since you ask.

Maybe you'll learn something, like keeping your mouth shut when your brain asleep.
Yes, I was a Draft Dodger during Vietnam. I posed as Elementary school student. you stupid hag.
Educate on Marcy's Law.

Marsy’s law was first offered and originally enacted in 2008 in California.
I hate referendum questions, because most voters are clueless.
Please don't be clueless. Check it out, or don't check off a vote.
PLEASE!
Seeing your comments on FB calling Chris a raving lunatic and saying he is bat crap crazy, then referring to his mother as a bitch makes me wonder how true your comments regarding Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard are. Seems to me you’re one of the problems in this county - one of the people that votes for family and/or friends rather than the person’s qualifications. Rather than talk about the man and his mother, why don’t you say those things to their face? It’s easy to hide behind fake names and FB threads that are limited to friends only. The problem with that is that someone on Tom Zimmerman’s FB post happened to be a friend of a friend of a friend. And you know how that goes, it eventually gets back to the person (or person’s) that you are bad mouthing. You know Ms. Cressley, I pass by Kriss Pines every time I go to Jim Thorpe? I believe you owe Chris and his mother an apology. You may not like them politically, but that doesn’t give you a right to attack them personally.
