Year in Review: Board questions produce stand
Complaints against a Towamensing produce stand owner came to a head during a board of supervisors meeting in September, eventually leading to the shutdown of the facility.
Gerald George had been in violation of at least three property violations involving his use of rented land between 6875 and 6965 Interchange Road.
Zoning officer Carl Faust said George didn’t have proper permits.
George argued that the highway entrance to the property had been there for 45 years.
The owner of the property evicted George from the land.
