Year in Review: Lehighton landmark burns
Trainer’s Inn, a Carbon county landmark for decades, burns in this photo from March 18. The structure along Route 209 in Franklin Township was destroyed by a stubborn fire that took firefighters from numerous counties hours to battle. Due to the remote location of the scene water had to be tanked into the site.
