Palmerton Police log

Palmerton Police Department reported the following incidents:

Simple assault: Steven Ruger, 54, Palmerton, was charged with two counts each of simple assault and harassment, for an incident July 7 in the 700 block of Princeton Avenue.

Hector Garcia, 72, Palmerton, was charged with simple assault and harassment, for an incident Sept. 6 in the 200 block of Harvard Avenue.

Possession of drug paraphernalia: Alexandria Zelinsky, 23, Palmerton, was charged for an incident Aug. 26 in the 600 block of Princeton Avenue.

Maximum gross weight: Joseph Noel, 60, of Washington, New Jersey, Sept. 13 in the 800 block of Mauch Chunk Road.

Danny Gavilanez-Guaraca, 36, Elizabeth, New Jersey; Juan Ojeda-Calderon, 46, East Elmhurst, New Jersey; William Decarvalho, 37, Elizabeth, New Jersey; Andres Ocampo, 29, Dover, New Jersey; Vincent Rivera, 25, North Bergen, New Jersey; Luis Merchan, 39, Newark, New Jersey; Rupert Thomas, 63, Roselle, New Jersey; Manuel Lozano, 38, Jackson Heights, New York; Jose Miranda, 62, Summit, New Jersey; and Alexander Davila, 29, Ocean, New Jersey, were charged Sept. 19 at Mauch Chunk Road and Franklin Avenue.

Citations: Police also issued one citation for speeding.
