A man remains missing after a search ended Sunday afternoon in Penn Forest Township.

Jeremy Cosmi, 25, of Souderton, was last seen at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Towamensing Trails Road and Route 534 in Albrightsville.

Officials said he is possibly suffering from a head injury and in need of medical attention.

The details regarding why Cosmi, a resident of Souderton, was in the area, and how he came to be missing are not being shared by law enforcement at this time.

Cosmi was described as a “white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a red tattoo on his face.” He is described as having a mohawk and wearing a blue shirt.

According to Emergency Management Agency Coordinator Mark Nalesnik, the decision to call off the search at around 1 p.m. on Sunday was a joint decision made by the members of the Unified Command, which was made up of the Pennsylvania State Police, Penn Forest Fire Company No. 2 Fire Chief, David Vukovic and Nalesnik.

“The investigation is in the hands of the Pennsylvania State Police at this time,” Nalesnik said. “We made our decision based on what we felt was best for the safety of the 100 volunteers who showed up to help in the search.”

The state police declined any further comments on the search at this time.

Anyone with information on Cosmi’s location is asked to call the Fern Ridge barracks at 570-646-2271.

A black resident of Carbon County was missing for 4 months. No local officials or 4 police departments did anything about it. This white guy lives an hour away and a search with 100 "volunteers" is conducted. To my dearest friend that got no help and no closure please listen to me: Write down all the details then consult with attorneys from Philly. . I can help do the research to show there was some kind of bias among all departments and you could be set for life. Racial bias is illegal under the color of law. Wrongful death lawsuits against 3 municipalities and the state will be settled or won somewhere with the right lawyers.
Yeah...that "black" guy was missing for a long ass time. No one seemed to do crap about it. Then his body showed up against that little damn under that bridge. People said he was a happy and awesome guy, and they highly doubted suicide, but I never saw any further investigations into the possibility of 'foul play'. I don't care if they guy was into drugs (not saying he was) or whatever, but he deserved his life, and his family/friends deserves a full investigation into how his body ended up in that river. Carbon county swept that 1 under the rug, with about 18 other things I can remember.
