Carbon inmate had NJ warrant

A Carbon County inmate faces an additional charge after police found he had a warrant out for his arrest in another state.

According to Nesquehoning police, on Aug. 2, officers were called by the prison to notify them that Ryan Montgomery, 42, was in custody and that he was reported to be wanted out of Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

On Aug. 3, police spoke with Montgomery, who admitted that he had a warrant out for his arrest for the possession of heroin.

He was charged with arrest prior to requisition.
