Pupils recite the Pledge of Allegiance
It instills a sense of patriotism among students.
That was exactly the idea behind the annual Pledge of Allegiance assembly held Tuesday at Peters Elementary School.
The assembly was once again carried out by the R.W. Fritzinger VFW Post 7215 Auxiliary of Walnutport.
Led by Karen Bandzi, auxiliary president, kindergarten pupils participated in the activity.
Principal James Schnyderite said the students enjoyed the program.
“Along with teachers and staff, the students enjoyed learning the history of the Pledge of Allegiance, and proudly recited the Pledge of Allegiance as a group,” Schnyderite said. “A personalized Pledge of Allegiance certificate, American flag, pencil and token was awarded for taking part in the assembly, and for demonstrating pride in our country and flag.”
This marked the 16th year for the program.

Does that bother you? Why?
The Pledge of Allegience isn't a song though.
You have children? I didn't think so.
