Summit Hill man charged after sex assault of woman

Cameron R. Vetesy, 18, of Summit Hill, was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning, following his arraignment on Wednesday on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and terroristic threats stemming from an incident two earlier in the borough.

Police said they were called to the 300 block of North Oak Street at 6:14 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of a man (Vetesy) in possession of a handgun trying to gain access to the residence. Police said he was attempting to retrieve items he had left there on Dec. 16.

Police said while there, the victim told them Vetesy stayed at her home during the overnight hours of Dec. 16 to play video games with her children. Police said shortly after he arrived there, the victim said Vetesy began making inappropriate sexual comments toward her.

She told police while she was on the telephone, she heard a banging noise and observed Vetesy with his exposed genitals on the sink “violently smashing them.” She said she advised him to leave the home.

Assuming he left, the woman took a shower and was confronted by him as she got out of the shower. She told police Vetesy removed the towel and touched her inappropriately. She told police he pushed her onto the bed, and forced her to perform sexual acts. During the assault, the woman began yelling, which alerted one of her children, who grabbed a knife and threatened to stab Vetesy if he didn’t leave his mother alone.

Police said Vetesy demanded a bag that he went there with, and when they gave it to him, he pulled a semi-automatic handgun out of the bag and put it against her head, threatening her. He told the woman he would kill her and her children if she reported the incident.

Police said Vetesy was located and taken into custody without incident. Police said he admitted being at the home but denied having any inappropriate sexual contact with the victim.
