Route 309 in West Penn Township was closed early Sunday morning due to a crash. The incident occurred just after midnight when a tractor trailer was traveling north and descending the north side.

The driver told authorities he downshifted, then lost control on an ice covered roadway.

The rig slid to the right, hitting the guiderails. The driver was not injured.

Route 309 was closed on the Lehigh County side and at Route 895 in West Penn.

West Penn police Sgt. Jason Lorah is investigating the incident.

There ya go Mr. Heffley....was he using his cell phone....one of the many Truck accidents that are capable of killing people quickly.
Maybe as a Professional Driver, he didn't realize it could be Icy and would have to slow down.
Oh, thats right, I forgot,..... you were a trucker or owned a trucking company, so I know where you stand......people can talk, handle a phone and drive at the same time.
Got it.
I am not into gossip on Facebook. I saw what he said, he has shared his attitude about what safe driving is to him with Bruce F. of TN. He did protect himself by using the word "car" though.
I am waiting for him to correct his thinking.....he has yet to do that.
Male brotherhood cover is alive and well here.
How many Dead Bodies have you seen.
This section of TN is for comments. Most people on here do not gossip.
Call it what ever you want.
"Nothing more" is being sent his way. He will get my message.
