Lehighton woman faces drug charges
A Lehighton woman faces drug charges after a traffic stop in Tamaqua.
Samantha L. Kuntz, 30, of Lehighton, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges stem from a Jan. 25 incident.
Police saw a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign in the area of Vine Street and Rolling Mill Avenue.
Kuntz was identified, and records showed that she had an active warrant for her arrest. She was taken into custody without incident.
Kuntz had a multicolored zipper bag inside of her bra. Inside of the zipper bag was one clear bag containing green bands, and another clear bag with eight blue pills and one yellow pill.
Also located in the bag was another clear bag containing methamphetamine. The pills were identified as diazepam and Dilaudid.
