Nine area players in Friday’s Schuylkill All-Star basketball games

The 2019 Schuylkill County Charity Bowl All-Star basketball games will be held on Friday, March 29 at Martz Hall in Pottsville at 7 p.m.

Senior boys and girls from the North and South divisions will compete against each other. Nine Time News area seniors were selected to play for the North squad in the doubleheader.

In the girls game, Marian’s Emma McClafferty, Alexa Murray and Isabella Schwabe are on the team, along with Panther Valley’s Rachelle Filer. The North girls will be coached by Mahanoy Area’s Tom Scheeler.

The boys game will feature Tamaqua’s Michael Bonetsky and Derian Stianche, Panther Valley’s Rene Figueroa and Trey Turner, as well as Marian’s Brandon Sabulsky are on the North roster. The North will be coached by Panther Valley’s Pat Crampsie.
