State police join Santa to greet motorists

State troopers at the Lehighton barracks have chosen to take Santa and his elves to the children and motorists along Route 209 in Towamensing Township.

"Please let us use a mere encounter to find some reasonable suspicion that a victimless crime could be occurring in your vehicle."

Funny, I was thinking the same thing when I saw this. This is just a checkpoint veiled as a visit with Santa.
