Jason Frey, a resident of Franklin Township, will seek his first term as Carbon County Commissioner on the Republican ticket in 2019.

Frey is the son of Janet and the late Kenneth Rohlfing of Lehighton. He is a 1989 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and a member of the Carbon County Republican Committee. Frey is a lifelong member of the Republican Party and continues to live and support the conservative values held by his family.

Frey currently serves Franklin Township as chairman of the board of supervisors, where he helped pave the way for a large health system to build the hospital there. He also helped ensure the preservation of Christman Field for permanent recreational use by the community. Frey has proven he can work with government and business leaders to get things done.

Frey has chosen to donate his supervisor salary to various nonprofits.

He said, “I didn’t expect a paycheck when I ran for supervisor.”

To date, Frey has made individual $425 donations to the Franklin Township Athletic Association, the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company and Family Promise of Carbon County.

Frey has followed through on his campaign promises of common-sense decision making, transparency and choice of building code inspectors. In the capacity of commissioner, Frey would ensure government lives within its means, protects taxpayers from unnecessary tax increases, promotes a business-friendly environment to bring new industry and higher paying jobs to Carbon County, and he would vote for check-and-balance measures to detect and prevent unethical business activities by government officials.

Frey has been employed by New England Motor Freight in Lehighton for 25 years. He is a blue-collar worker with an old-school work ethic, and he will consistently work hard to serve and protect the interests of Carbon County residents.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to become a Carbon County Commissioner. As a lifelong resident of Carbon County, I will conduct myself with integrity and demonstrate the work ethic, commitment and common sense you expect.”

Great another Blue collar Yahoo who thinks their hee haw lifestyle and Deviant Republican affiliation automatically qualifies them to hold an office. In case you're wondering Frey, you can't solve problems by shooting them!!! Can't wait to see if a sweet rent deal buys an endorsement.
