Retired U.S. Army Col. Chris Lukasevich, native son of Jim Thorpe, declares his Republican campaign for Carbon County Commissioner. Rising through the Army ranks from private to sergeant first class, and then from second lieutenant to full-bird colonel, Lukasevich returned to his hometown in 2014 with his wife, and Army veteran herself, Maggie, son Taylor and daughter Molly. His 34 years of military service spanned the Cold War, Drug War, and Global War on Terror.

Lukasevich is determined to repay Carbon residents for their contribution in developing the work ethic and character that formed the basis for his professional achievements. Lukasevich is grateful to the taxpayers that provided him incomparable training, education, and leadership and management experiences. He is similarly thankful for the G.I. Bill that funded his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in project management from Lehigh University. This program further honed his financial management, investment, human resource, contract knowledge and business expertise.

Lukasevich’s vision includes being the irrefutable voice at the table and leading a board of commissioners unequaled in transparency, responsiveness and accountability. He is committed to a measurably more efficient county government, bringing tax relief to seniors, especially widows, reasonable taxation based on needs, not politicians’ wants, increased support to veterans, and a county with a quality of life in which current residents thrive not just survive. Lukasevich foresees former residents returning, reinvesting and further reinvigorating the county he loves.

Lukasevich is committed to ensuring maximum citizen access and use of county properties and the leasing or selling of assets not critical to providing services to citizens.

In addition to his MBA, Lukasevich holds a BA from Penn State, and an MA from the University of Arizona. For his leadership and actions in Iraq, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.

Lukasevich encourages all residents to visit Www.C4Commissioner.org and give him a call at 570-503-6780. “If it matters to you, it matters to Chris!”

Hey asshole....most of us wish you would just take your daily bullshit and shove it. The man also happens to have an MBA in addition to his military accomplishments, which would be a refreshing benefit to county leadership.
I'm sorry, have we ever met? Have you ever reviewed my LinkedIn profile at https://www.linkedin.com/in/chrislukasevich, the information available at C4Commissioner.org, have spoken anyone who has worked with me been one of my superiors, peers, or subordinates? I am trying to understand how you are assessing my qualifications to run a county whose budget, personnel, geographical, complexity, responsibilities are notably less challenging than my those of my last assignment before retirement, to mention just one. What are the qualifications that you seem to apply our current commissioners have that has led to a 57% increase in county employees, 49% increase in taxes, 39% increase in budget, and notable increase in our debt? Feel free to give me a call at (570) 503-6780 and we'll set up at a time to meet for coffee and discuss in person. If it matters to you, it matters to me! Chris
Your comment is unbelievable. Do you any idea the dedication that it took for this man to accomplish what he did in the military? You have no idea of the work that he was involved in; otherwise, you wouldn’t have accused him of living off the taxpayers for 34 years. I would like for you, sir, to attach your resume so I can lay it beside COL Chris Lukasevich’s. I’ll bet $50.00 that your’s does not reach the level of his experience or expertise by 1/10th. If it did you wouldn’t be talking through your ass like you are. By the way, FYI, his military service more than qualifies Chris Lukasevich for Carbon County Commissioner. You will not find a better candidate or a leader.
Col. Lukasevich, thank you for your service in the Army. I see you met our TN “contributer” DO. He is a hater that insults everyone. DO should be ashamed of him/her self. Normal political discourse falls into rampant dysfunction that would not even be accepted into the military in his case. Those of us who have any senses know the rich effective environment of leadership that the military provides. Best wishes in your endeavors. You will make a fine Commissioner. Please ignore insults from those who have “a big hat, but no cattle” as they say in Texas.
Col.,
Please pay no attention to our resident troll.
Best of luck in the election.
