An Albrightsville man admitted in Carbon County court on Monday to stealing cash from his mother.

He was one of six defendants in pending criminal cases to enter a guilty plea before Judge Steven R. Serfass.

Shawn Michael Melleski, 27, pleaded to one count of theft for an incident on July 12, 2016. He admitted taking $3,000 in cash from his mother from her Penn Forest Township home. Charges were filed by state police at Fern Ridge for an incident on July 12, 2016.

Melleski is currently an inmate in a federal prison serving a 36-month term on drug charges.

Serfass placed him on probation for 24 months, consecutive to his federal term, and ordered he make restitution to his mother for the $3,000, get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment and render 100 hours of community service when paroled.

Another stupid republican. Their children never do wrong and they have a pathetic need to display cash around the house thinking they're some kind big shot. Big dumbasses is more like it. not crying for this hag
Must every story in the TN get a political twist from you RUK? You really are messed up in the head. You should hire a retired teacher to help you with elementary grammar. I don’t know what is worse with you. Bent political viewpoints that have risen to the level of threatening politicians or...”thinking they’re some kind big shot.” What does this mean? This just proves your low intellect. You should be ashamed of yourself several times over. You make fun of “another stupid Republican.”...yet you are the one who has GREAT difficulty with English. Joke on you brudda! You are a laughingstock. Why don’t you clean up your dirty act? Keep it up! You embarrass yourself.
