Couple thanks fire department with water donation

  • Empty

A Summit Hill couple whose garage was damaged in a fire wanted to thank the first responders who helped prevent the blaze from spreading.
Julia Veron and Nick Pelo decided to lead a drive for something all firefighters can use — bottled water. On Thursday they held a collection at the fire house in Summit Hill. The collection brought in 30 cases of water and cases of gatorade and soda.
Pepsi donated 10 cases each of water and soda. They also donated $70. Pictured are Bobby O’Gurek, John Poko, Jac Collura, Larry Black, Benjamin Tee, Preston Pelo, Julia Veron, Parker Pelo and Nick Pelo. CHRIS REBER/TIMES NEWS

Community,

Just imagine all the additional charitable acts a community could perform if the Lehighton School board would oversee the administration they were elected to oversee.

By the district's waste, a tax increase was approved by Andrew Yenser, Rita Spinelli, Wayne Wentz, Larry Stern and Steve Holland.
They didn't decide to cut the waste or corruption as outlined in the balanced budget with a TAX DECREASE, they chose to take by use of governmental authority and force more taxes from the charitable people of Lehighton. Hometown pride? More like shameful irresponsibly as they ignored their Oath to watch over the administration they were elected to oversee.

Sincerely,

Citizen David F. Bradley Sr.
