Police: NY man sent threatening emails to ex-wife
State police have charged a New York man with harassing and threatening to harm his ex-wife.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Trooper Tristan Bennett at Troop N, Fern Ridge:
On May 2, Bennett responded to local police for a report of terroristic threats. Police said that the victim called and reported being harassed by her ex-husband, Paul Trifilo, 50, of Hadley, via emails.
Police said the victim moved to Carbon County after receiving notice from the New York Department of Corrections and Community Supervision advising that Trifilo was paroled and is currently wanted for skipping his parole meeting.
The victim said that she received over 60 emails from Trifilo beginning on May 1, and that she had an order of protection against him.
One of the emails from Trifilo stated: “This only ends with the death of one of us. I will not take any more plea deals regarding these charges. This means that every time you call the police you will be asked to testify at jury trial. If you can’t or won’t testify my charges are immediately dismissed. If you do testify, I or my counsel will destroy whatever ivory tower you now inhabit. Guilty or not, upon my release the game begins again, ad infinitum, until the death of one of us ...”
The victim said that due to these messages, she has had to leave her primary residence and hide at a friend’s house.
Trifilo faces charges of terrorist threats and harassment.
He is currently incarcerated in the Carbon County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200,000 bail, and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Sept. 18 before District Judge Eric M. Schrantz of Jim Thorpe.

When do "words" matter? Will anyone call these people out? The reason for this statement is to bully up the masses to support the "Red Flag" concept. These inept city officials also need to get the focus off their Feces/Needles in the streets and homelessness epidemic.
