A Florida resident has been arrested and charged with assault stemming from an incident in Jim Thorpe.

Mary Hill, 41, of 366 W. Bertsch St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place at 2:54 p.m. Sept. 23 at Water and Centre streets.

State police at Lehighton reported on the following arrests made by troopers.

James Acevedo, 44, of 123 W. Blaine St., Apt. 2G, McAdoo, faces charges from an incident which took place at 7:13 p.m. Oct.

A Tamaqua area man was jailed over the weekend on assault and related charges.
