Weather may have stopped the helicopter, but the annual Shower of Roses went on as planned from the ground. The Rev. Allen Hoffa and Rose Queen Emily Reaman threw roses from the red steps of the Shrine of St. Therese in New Columbus to a smaller than normal crowd.
