St. Mark's, St. John's Episcopal Parish of Jim Thorpe is hosting an outdoor guitar Mass on Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. at Mauch Chunk Lake Park.

Due to the Labor Day holiday this week, garbage will be collected on Friday, instead of Thursday.

Reunion committee meeting

The Jim Thorpe Tax Collector's office of Terry McElmoyle will be closed Saturday, Sept. 3 and Monday, Sept. 5. It will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 6.
